Bosch Security Systems has developed and implemented a security concept for the Heini Klopfer ski jump in Oberstdorf, Germany. The concept comprises protection against fire, intrusion detection technology and video surveillance at the ski jump itself as well as in the mountain and valley stations of its chair lift. Tyco International Acquires Signature Security
Tyco International has reached an agreement with Oceania Capital Partners Limited (OCP) to acquire OCP's Signature Security Group for US$172 million. Tyco intends to combine Signature Security's Australian and New Zealand operations with its ADT Security business under the ADT name. read more

LDW Market to Exceed $14 Billion by 2016, Says ABI Research
Outside of Japan, lane departure warning (LDW) systems began to appear on top-of-the-line consumer vehicles around 2005, with automatic steering correction being phased in on some models over the next five years or so. In 2011, the system will be available on high-volume models. By 2016, annual LDW installations are projected to reach more than 22 million with a worldwide market value of more than $14.3 billion. read more
