Bosch Security Technology Mounted at German Mountains

Bosch Security Systems has developed and implemented a security concept for the Heini Klopfer ski jump in Oberstdorf, Germany. The concept comprises protection against fire, intrusion detection technology and video surveillance at the ski jump itself as well as in the mountain and valley stations of its chair lift. Reaching a height of 207 meters, the Heini Klopfer ski jump is one of the six largest in the world. read more

Tyco International Acquires Signature Security

Tyco International has reached an agreement with Oceania Capital Partners Limited (OCP) to acquire OCP's Signature Security Group for US$172 million. Tyco intends to combine Signature Security's Australian and New Zealand operations with its ADT Security business under the ADT name. read more

Hikvision's H.264 compression cards are being used in the U.S., Canada and South America by CEVA Logistics, a logistics company whose global network has facilities in 170 countries and 46,000 employees generating a turnover of US$7 billion. IQinVision Megapixel Cameras Take Care of Texas Handicaps

LDW Market to Exceed $14 Billion by 2016, Says ABI Research

Outside of Japan, lane departure warning (LDW) systems began to appear on top-of-the-line consumer vehicles around 2005, with automatic steering correction being phased in on some models over the next five years or so. In 2011, the system will be available on high-volume models. In anticipation of the U.S. government's Maritime Transportation Security Administration (MTSA) regulations, a large oil refinery company took a proactive approach and engaged ADT to help customize a solution that would integrate the new government-issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card with its current electronic access control system.
