Mark Shermetaro, CEO Lumidigm, the multi-imaging biometric identity management company, announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Lumidigm Board member Mark Shermetaro as CEO. Lumidigm Co-founder, Chairman and CEO Bob Harbour will stay on as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective February 1.
Shermetaro comes to Lumidigm from his position as VP of Business Development at Methode Electronics, where he was responsible for leading corporate M&A activity. Shermetaro served on the Lumidigm Board of Directors for two years. Read more

Protection 1 Acquires Sting Alarm Security Monitoring Account Tatabase

Protection 1, an electronic security company in the U.S., has taken over the management of thousands of security monitoring accounts from Sting Alarm. The purchase represents 2,100 sites across the country and includes food distributors, quick serve restaurant chains, automotive suppliers, high-end retail stores and logistics and self-storage companies.  read more
