Global VSaaS market to reach $2.4B by 2017, MarketsandMarkets says

According to a new market research report published by MarketsandMarkets, the VSaaS market, on the whole, is expected to reach $2,390.9 million by 2017 at a CAGR of 31.5% from 2012 to 2017.

HID Global pilots NFC for physical access at enterprise sites and highlights room for improvement

HID Global announced its completion of two pilot programs that validate how mobile access control using Near Field Communication (NFC)-enabled smartphones can allow employees to conveniently open doors with a mobile device without compromising physical enterprise security. The pilots were conducted at the headquarters of Netflix, the world's leading Internet subscription service for enjoying TV series and films, and Good Technology, the leader in secure enterprise mobility solutions, using HID Global's iCLASS SE platform including iCLASS Seos credentials that are portable for use on NFC-enabled smartphones.

Exacq achieves record sales and expands in the U.S. and U.K.

Exacq Technologies, a manufacturer of video management system (VMS) software and server hardware used for video surveillance, has landed on the Inc. 5000 list for the third consecutive year. Revenue for 2011 was listed as $32.3 million with a three-year growth of 412%. The company also added a European office and is in the process of expanding their Fishers, Indiana offices for the third time since moving into the facility in 2009.

Exacq ranks number 826 overall on the Inc. 5000 list and is the ninth highest ranking company in the state of Indiana. Las Vegas new airport terminal expands security coverage with Pelco

Schneider Electric announced the successful expansion of its Pelco by Schneider Electric Endura IP video management system (VMS) in the newly opened Terminal 3 at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nev. The airport, which ranked 20th-busiest in the world in 2011, added more than 900 Pelco cameras and integrated the video system with an access control system to provide mission-critical surveillance for public and back-of-house areas, security checkpoints, U.S. Customs and Border Protection sections, baggage systems, the tram system, and parking facilities.
