NEC Biometric Solution Selected for Criminal Identification across Eight American States


NEC Corporation of America, a leading provider of innovative IT, communications, and biometrics solutions, announced that it has been awarded a multiyear contract with the Western Identification Network, (WIN) to modernize WIN's multistate criminal identification system. The updated system will include advanced identification capabilities (such as high-resolution palm and fingerprint matching and other emerging biometric functions), disaster recovery facilities, and enhanced system performance. Safran Launches MorphoTrust USA After L-1 Acquisition


Government agencies and businesses in the U.S. now have a dedicated identity solutions provider in MorphoTrust USA – a Morpho company part of the Safran group – and the only company dedicated to simplifying, protecting and securing the lives of the American people.
MorphoTrust was formed from the integration of three former L-1 Identity Solutions business divisions and corporate headquarters. The company delivers complete, integrated identity and enrollment solutions and is a trusted partner for all 50 states, as well as numerous federal agencies and commercial businesses. Headquartered in Billerica, Mass., it employs approximately 1,100 individuals, and operates over 1,200 ID service centers across the country. MorphoTrust currently provides driver license issuance solutions to 41 of the 50 states and the District of Columbia, the facial recognition solution for the FBI's Identity program, and the multi-modal biometric software for the Department of Defense (DoD) Enterprise. Ievo Biometrics Installed at UK School


Spider Technologies have been at the forefront of another Ievo biometric installation – This time biometrics in schools. The project began in July 2011 at a school in North Wales, and required six readers for the site. The biometric units are fitted both internally and externally and also secure the sites main entry points. Almost 1,500 pupils are registered as well as teaching and domestic staff. Read more

University of Maine Deploys Palm Vein Scanners for Students at Dining Halls
