Mark Shermetaro, CEO Lumidigm, the multi-imaging biometric identity management company, announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Lumidigm Board member Mark Shermetaro as CEO. Lumidigm Co-founder, Chairman and CEO Bob Harbour will stay on as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective February 1.
Shermetaro comes to Lumidigm from his position as VP of Business Development at Methode Electronics, where he was responsible for leading corporate M&A activity. Shermetaro served on the Lumidigm Board of Directors for two years. Read more

Dutch College Deploys Lumidigm Biometrics to Freely Move around Campus Facilities

Lumidigm announced that Free Amsterdam University (VU), one of Europe’s prestigious colleges, is using the company’s multispectral imaging sensors in fingerprint readers used by approximately 8,000 students, faculty and staff to enter the school’s multiple recreation facilities spread throughout Amsterdam. The switch to fingerprint scanning was done in tandem with the school’s migration to a software platform. Biometric integrator EasySecure International of Rotterdam proposed the Lumidigm solution as a good fit.  read more

Lumidigm and i-Evo Form Technology Partnership

Lumidigm announced that i-Evo (Newcastle upon Tyne, UK) is using the company’s multispectral imaging sensors to produce a line of versatile fingerprint readers that can be used both indoors and outdoors, including in harsh environments that render most biometric readers inoperable. read more
